  5. Inspiration is everything. In other words: do what you love, do what you love, do what you love. Every day should at least be peppered with small things that inspire you.
  6. Everything transforms eventually. The best we can do is surrender to the hard times, knowing that they will transform when we have integrated the lesson and completed our growth. 

 

Chiropractic Connection:

Stress in life is not automatically negative. The question is: can we flow stress within the natural rhythms guiding the day, the month, and the year? Another way to put this is thinking about how we can integrate physiological cycles such as respiration, heart-rate, circadian rhythms, together with the larger rhythms of life.

The fight or flight cycle is another rhythm we experience every day, in rising and falling waves of intensity. Fighting stress, then, is a wrong approach because stress is fundamentally a matter of rhythm, like dancing.

It’s helpful to appreciate how the nervous system controls so much in our lives. In fact, this is an understatement because the nervous system does more than “control” ; it organizes bodily rhythms with the larger rhythms of life on Earth.

With chiropractic care I believe we can help integrate systems of the body, such as the rhythmic stress response, into a greater whole. The result is without a doubt, a greater sense of well-being.
